An Australian customer specializing in high-performance mineral materials sought an efficient basalt fine grinding solution. The main goals of the project were to achieve precise particle size control (D97 < 10 μm) while ensuring high production capacity and stable continuous operation.
After thoroughly evaluating the raw material characteristics and production requirements, Epic Powder designed a ball mill and air classifier production line specifically for materials with high hardness and strong abrasiveness, such as basalt. The system featured wear-resistant liners and optimized grinding media, improving both equipment durability and energy efficiency.
During commissioning, the production line operated smoothly and produced consistent, high-quality output. The system achieved a production capacity of over 1 tons per hour, with the final basalt powder showing uniform particle size distribution and excellent dispersibility.
